Fraternity and Sorority Life
Building Leaders, Scholars and Lifelong Friends
For 120 years, Fraternity and Sorority Life has helped shape the lives of undergraduates at the College of Charleston.
Each year after Convocation, a new freshman class walks under the arch at Porter’s Lodge to sign "the book." Each spring following graduation, a new class walks back under the arch and out into the world. Written in Greek above the central arch are the words: "Know Thyself." No group of undergraduates is more apt to live by these words than the scholars and leaders of Fraternity & Sorority Life. Fraternity & Sorority Life at the College is designed to help students make the most of their time on campus, and help them to develop into responsible, social, and contributing members of our society.
